Stepping inside Maison LUX* is like entering one of the gorgeous cafés that line the streets of old European cities. It’s evocative of a certain art de vivre. It’s where you can order a morning coffee and pastry, an afternoon pick-me-up in the form of gelato or a nightcap. Whether you’re more of a cappuccino kind of girl–or guy–or a Prosecco one, you’ll find your happy place here.

The Chef

Executive Pastry Chef, Simon Pacary

Simon Pacary, our Executive Pastry Chef from France, is renowned for his original and elegant pastries. Passionate about seasonal ingredients, he loves to explore new exotic flavors. In addition to his creations, he enjoys making trompe-l'œil desserts. In 2018, he was recognized by the magazine "Atabula" as one of the fifty most influential personalities under twenty in French gastronomy. That same year, he won the silver medal at the prestigious French Dessert Championship. "The Chef" magazine ranked him among the top six French pastry chefs competing for Chef of the Year. In January 2021, Simon reached an important milestone in his career when the Michelin Guide awarded him the PASSION DESSERT trophy during a competition.

  • As relaxing as a holiday is, we ask that you wear a cover-up over swimwear at our daytime restaurants. In the evening, an island chic wardrobe is a must (no flip-flops!)

    P.S.: We love our striped bathrobes too but let's keep them for the spa and room.

FREE CANCELLATION

1. The sales conditions for the reserved rate or package specify the terms for cancelling and/or changing the reservation.
2. Prepaid reservations can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival; thereafter 100% of stay charged; No-Show: 100% of stay charged, for Mauritian & Reunion Island properties.
Note for LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives, the following applies:
From 01.02.2024 to 22.12.2024: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival.  Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 23.12.2024 to 05.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 60 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 06.01.2025 to 31.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
If ever the reservation includes non-refundable components, it will be stipulated in the sales conditions for the rate or package.
3. When the sales conditions for the reserved rate or package allow:
- The reservation can be cancelled via the “Contact Us” section on www.luxresorts.com website or by contacting Customer Services on the contact details stated above in Article 9 in Terms and Conditions.
- Changes to the reservation can be made with Customer Services, whose contact details are stated on the reservation confirmation sent by email and in Article 9 above.
4. In the event that the stay is interrupted, the agreed price will be paid in full. No reimbursement will be given for a prepaid reservation.
5. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer must vacate the room before 12 p.m. on the last day of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the rate conditions booked. Failure to do so shall result in the customer being billed for an extra night.
