    We offer a variety of meal plan options for foodies of all levels. Our award-winning All-Inclusive resort package offers access to six restaurants with a variety of cuisines and is our most popular option. Note that In-Villa dining is not included in any of the plans.

  • Can I combine more than one meal plan during my stay?

    Combining meal plans within the same booking prior to arrival is, unfortunately, not applicable. However, if you wish to upgrade your meal plan during your stay, that is possible.

    Please note that guests staying in the same villa have to be on the same meal plan.

  • How do I reach LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    Our island paradise is located just a short 25-minute seaplane journey from Malé. As you exit the arrival hall of the Velana airport, you will be greeted by our team. They will promptly assist you to our LUX* Lounge, from where you will embark on your seaplane ride to the island.

  • Can a speedboat transfer be arranged from Malé to LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    Although LUX* South Ari Atoll can be reached by speedboat, we do not recommend this option as it may take 3 to 4 hours of travel time, depending on the weather.

  • Is LUX* South Ari Atoll a kid-friendly Maldives resort?

    Recognised among the Best Maldives Resorts for Families by Travel+Leisure Luxury Awards, we are proud to say that children are special guests to us. Interactive PLAY club welcomes kids from 3 to 11 years old, while teens are to enjoy their own daily programme. Cinema under the stars, coral planting, and game nights are only few of all family activities we offer. Even LUX* ME Spa offers a special treatment menu for the little ones.

  • How is the diving experience at LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    Located in a South Ari Marine Protected Area (SAMPA) we are surrounded with over 50 beautiful dive sites. Not only our lagoon brims with fish, turtles and manta rays, this is the world’s only year-round whale shark encounter spot. Not quite confident in deep ocean waters? Virtual reality diving sessions are available for all, and beginner diving lessons are offered to guests of 8 years and above.

  • What is the Maldives weather like throughout the year?

    Although it’s impossible to give a precise forecast, our beautiful tropical island is warm and typically sunny round the year. October to April is generally a dry season, while occasional rain showers are observed from May to October.

  • So when is the best time to visit LUX* South Ari Atoll resort in the Maldives?

    You can’t go wrong visiting the Maldives, and we truly mean it. Throughout the year you will be able to snorkel with the whale sharks, manta rays, and turtles. Don’t forget our exquisite culinary offerings, masterclasses, and fun events happening every day. Sometimes it rains even in paradise, but we make sure there is still plenty of things to do!

  • Is there a lot of seaweed in the resort?

    Maldivian seagrass is often mistaken for seaweed when in fact they are very different. Seagrasses are complex, flowering plants which live underwater. Tropical seascapes like the Maldives generally have three types of habitats: coral reefs, seagrass meadows and mangrove forests. Together, they provide environmental
    protection to local area.

    Seagrass supports coral reefs and provides home and food to thousands of marine animals and supports variety of fish species in our lagoon. It also helps to protect the coast from the impacts of storms and large waves, by preventing coastal erosion.

    To maintain our pristine white beach, we manage seagrass growth in the common guest swimming areas. Nevertheless, throughout the year, guest may spot seagrass patches around the lagoon, which changes with season and weather conditions.

  • Which languages are spoken by the team members of LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    We speak multiple languages, including English, Chinese, Arabic, French, German, Russian, and Korean.

  • What is there to do at LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    Fans of an active holiday have more than enough to stay happy. Sports enthusiasts can get busy with tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis plus weekly fitness and yoga classes. Up to a relaxing holiday? LUX* ME Spa welcomes for treatments, hair consultations, and workshops. Families will find plenty of activities to enjoy, too, from exciting excursions, beach cinema sessions, and game nights to educational craft workshops, coral planting, and latte art classes.

  • What kind of water activities are available at LUX* South Ari Atoll?

    Our dive center provides full training and PADI certification for all levels while the resort water sports center will have you snorkeling around remote sandbanks or trying any of their thrilling water sports. Kite surfing, parasailing, flyboarding and a range or non-motorised activities such as standup paddleboarding, canoeing, and more will satisfy the thirst of any action-seeker.

  • Does LUX* South Ari Atoll offer free booking cancellation for a full refund?

2. Prepaid reservations can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival; thereafter 100% of stay charged; No-Show: 100% of stay charged, for Mauritian & Reunion Island properties.
Note for LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives, the following applies:
From 01.02.2024 to 22.12.2024: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival.  Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 23.12.2024 to 05.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 60 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 06.01.2025 to 31.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
If ever the reservation includes non-refundable components, it will be stipulated in the sales conditions for the rate or package.
3. When the sales conditions for the reserved rate or package allow:
- The reservation can be cancelled via the “Contact Us” section on www.luxresorts.com website or by contacting Customer Services on the contact details stated above in Article 9 in Terms and Conditions.
- Changes to the reservation can be made with Customer Services, whose contact details are stated on the reservation confirmation sent by email and in Article 9 above.
4. In the event that the stay is interrupted, the agreed price will be paid in full. No reimbursement will be given for a prepaid reservation.
5. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer must vacate the room before 12 p.m. on the last day of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the rate conditions booked. Failure to do so shall result in the customer being billed for an extra night.
