ISLAND KITCHEN 2.0 : TROPICAL DINING

Summer in Mauritius is the time to step outdoors and enjoy the beach. Come nightfall, the beach at LUX* Le Morne, a spectacular spot, is transformed into an open-air Island Kitchen: take a seat at one of the elegant outdoor tables, shaded by coconut palms, and enjoy an al fresco dinner. Old wooden carts serve as interactive cooking stations where chefs cook up delicious seasonal delicacies: cochon à la broche, pig on a spit, Vindaloo, chicken curry, freshly-caught seafood… There is a sumptuous barbecue, dancing, rum tasting, all under a starry sky. Island Kitchen pays homage to the eclectic Mauritian culture and the island’s shores, which offer the prettiest of places to dine, taste local artisan rum and learn to dance Sega.
