Photography of Everyday storytelling

With Camille Santiago

Learn how to capture the everyday, better.

Taking great photographs isn’t just about getting your technical settings correct or having the best gear. The best photographs are those that can tell a story, even in the most ordinary of moments.

At Everyday Storytelling, you’ll learn more about composition, framing and finding your own creativity as a photographer so that you can create your best photograph in any moment. The workshop also includes a refresher on the basics of manual shooting.

This is a mostly practical & creative workshop. Some basic photography knowledge is recommended, but not required. A recap on technical terms such as shutter speed, aperture and ISO is given at the start of class, as this workshop provides practice for shooting in manual.

Shooting in manual is not 100% required, but this workshop is structured for dSLRs/digital cameras with manual settings, so you’ll get the most out of this workshop if you bring a camera that has manual modes.

Camille Santiago is a photographer and creative currently based in the Canadian Rockies, originally based in Brisbane, Australia. Self-taught in photography from the age of 13, Camille continually strives to refine her skills and has worked with fellow creatives such as Jasmine Dowling and Dominique Falla, as well as photographed creative conferences such as CreativeMornings, Typism and The Design Conference.
Passionate about the art of visual storytelling and photographing the beauty of the everyday, Camille aims to honestly capture moments, people and places in a way that quietly conveys their essence and hopes to share this skill with others.
