Yunnan is home to 25 or so of China's 55 minorities. This journey takes you across Yunnan to encounter three of these vibrant ethnic groups: The Bai, native to Dali; the Tibetans who are further up north and the Naxi, known for their peculiar Dongba religion and pictographic writing system. From Dali all the way to Shangri-La, sample delicious traditional cuisines, and experience first-hand these age-old cultures who have so much to teach us.
