The InterContinental Paris – Le Grand welcomed more than 800 participants for the 19th ceremony of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards. This year’s edition was chaired by Jean Baptiste Lemoyne, State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Europe, and Hervé Novelli, former Minister of Tourism and President of the Jury 2018.
For 19 years, Hospitality On has undertaken to promote the initiatives of the groups, the brands and the independents to globally expand the hospitality industry by organising the prestigious Worldwide Hospitality Awards.
Over more than a hundred of projects submitted in 14 categories, 42 finalists and laureates were selected following an online advisory vote on hospitality-on.com and the deliberation of the two juries, hospitality and non-hospitality experts.
LUX* Resorts & Hotels won the award for the best innovation in Services. Apnéistes, Mixologists, pentathletes, ‘star’ performing DJ, LUX* is fortunate to retain the brightest talents and designers to provide their clients with an inspiring experience allowing them to enjoy live music combined with mixology art. These moments are lived in an idyllic surrounding overlooking a paradise-like scenery that pacifies the soul and soothes the mind.
Paul Jones, CEO of The Lux Collective expressed his happiness. “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the teams of our LUX* hotels who contributed to this successful outcome. I always push them towards excellence that, in the end, really benefits us all: first of all to clients who will receive an outstanding service; to the employees and the hotel, but also to countries with a global reach.”
The participants of the ceremony also contributed in the selection of the winners among the seven categories (Best Communication Campaign, Best Digital Innovation, Best Innovation in Services excluding accommodation, Best “WOW Effect” for a luxury hotel, Best Innovation in an Educational Program, Best Innovation in Hotel Concept), via an online vote. Once again, much focus has been made on innovation and excellence where international groups like independent hotels were rewarded.
“For 18 years, Worldwide Hospitality Awards is an opportunity for the international hospitality industry to highlight their original, innovative and most successful initiatives. The applications of all participants, which does not only include finalists and laureates, reveal a diverse hospitality industry in constant evolution”, stated Goerges Panayotis, Founder and President of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards.
