About Us

Founded in 1987, LUX* Resorts (formerly known as Naiade Resorts Ltd) is a hotel group with properties in Mauritius, the Maldives and Réunion Island. The Company was admitted to the Official List of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius in November 2005. Mainly Mauritian owned, the company has more than 2,810 shareholders as of 31 December 2009.

On the 1st of December 2011, Naiade Resorts Ltd relaunched as LUX* Island Resorts.

LUX* Island Resorts is a collection of premium hotels in the Indian Ocean offering guests the opportunity to celebrate island life and enjoy light living. It's the new name and consumer brand for the luxury hotels previously operating under the 'Naïade Resorts Ltd' umbrella. The five resorts in the LUX* portfolio are LUX* Belle Mare, Mauritius (formerly Beau Rivage), LUX* Le Morne, Mauritius (formerly Les Pavillons), LUX* Grand Gaube, Mauritius (formerly Legends), LUX* Maldives (formerly Diva) and LUX* Ile de la Réunion (formerly Grand Hotel du Lagon).

The remaining properties previously operated by Naïade Resorts Ltd will be part of the Produced by LUX* Resorts portfolio. These resorts will continue to be known as Tamassa, Bel Ombre, Mauritius; Merville Beach, Grand Baie, Mauritius and Hôtel Le Récif, Ile de la Réunion, as well Ile des Deux Cocos, Mauritius, a private paradise island.

LUX* Island Resorts is an affiliate member of GML, a major economic player in the Indian Ocean, leader of the "Top 100" Mauritian companies. GML is active in key sectors of the Mauritian economy, representing a portfolio of approximately 300 subsidiaries and associated companies, performing a total turnover of MUR 26,9 billion as at June 30th 2011.
