Food safety - A trio of successes

An award ceremony recently took place at LUX* Resorts & Hotels Head Office in Floreal, when all three LUX* resorts in Mauritius, namely LUX* Belle Mare, LUX* Le Morne and LUX* Grand Gaube were presented with HACCP certificates.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) is a system that helps food business operators look at how they handle food and introduces procedures to make sure the food produced is safe to eat.
The awarding body is SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, and representatives from its Mauritian branch joined members of top management  from LUX* Belle Mare, LUX* Le Morne and LUX* Grand Gaube for the occasion.

LUX* Resorts & Hotels places very strong emphasis on food safety and all LUX* teams know that they have collective responsibility to provide  guests with a safe eating environment.The certification is the result of excellent team spirit together with a lot of dedication and hard work over the last six months, under the guidance of Executive Chef, Walter Lanfranchi and Consultant Barry Andrews.
LUX* Resorts & Hotels CEO, Paul Jones has since written to all staff to say, “Food safety is of paramount importance and an area where no compromise can be made…I am very proud to have three resorts certified simultaneously – this in itself is quite remarkable.”
